Breezy Herb & Clay Mask: A Clarifying Reset

When skin feels congested or overheated, and your mind feels a bit clouded, Breezy is your reset button.

This mask is a balancing act straight from the Slow Farm garden. We use French Green and Kaolin clays to gently draw out impurities and tighten pores, but we buffer them with restorative organic coconut milk and honey to ensure your skin is left soft, plump, and hydrated—never stripped.

The true power, however, lies in our farm-grown herbal quintet: Peppermint, Spearmint, Rosemary, Tulsi, and Lavender.

Upon contact with water, these botanicals activate in two distinct ways: Topically, they immediately cool redness and soothe skin irritation. They also release a fresh, clarifying scent that naturally encourages deep breath, helping to lift mental fog while the clay clears your pores.

Farm-to-Face Potency, Handmade Luxury

To capture their vibrancy, we often move these herbs from garden harvest to milled, sieved, and sealed into their jars within a single day. And to ensure a silky, luxurious experience, we painstakingly hand-sieve the final powder three times—zero grit, just cool comfort.

It’s a fifteen-minute garden retreat for your face.

The Ritual

Clays are active and can interact with metal tools. We recommend using ceramic, glass, or wood implements like the ones that come in our sets.

1. Mix: In a small non-metal bowl, combine roughly one tablespoon of mask powder with a half-tablespoon of warm water (or a hydrosol for extra potency).

2. Stir: Mix until you achieve a creamy, yogurt-like consistency.

3. Apply: Paint an even layer over your face and neck, avoiding the immediate eye area.

4. Pause: Relax for 5–10 minutes. Feel the cooling sensation of the mints take over. Do not let the mask dry completely to a cracking desert landscape—rinse while it is still slightly tacky to protect your skin's moisture barrier.

5. Rinse: Remove gently with warm water or a damp steamy cloth, and follow immediately with your hydrosol and balm.

ETHICALLY &
SUSTAINABLY GROWN

We take pride in ethically and sustainably growing our ingredients. Our farm provides not only food and healing plant medicine for humans but also abundant habitat for wildlife and native plant species. Farming for us is about establishing balanced self-sustaining ecosystems using as light of a touch as possible. No chemicals or shortcuts. Just slow and steady progress.

HAND HARVESTED
& PROCESSED

We hand-harvest all of the botanicals we use, ensuring we never take more than we can process at a time. The same person who picks the rosemary also dries it, grinds it into powder, and creates a nourishing facial pack just for you. We produce our goods in small batches to guarantee freshness.

FARMING FORWARD BY
THINKING BACKWARDS

At Slow Farm, we believe in farming forward by thinking backwards. Rather than viewing soil as a means to support farming, we see farming as an opportunity to restore and nourish our soil. We tackle environmental challenges by researching and implementing livestock and plant species that contribute to sustainable solutions.

This slow and sustainable method has allowed us to plant over 400 native herb, fruit, and nut plants on our 47-acre farm, promoting biodiversity and creating a resilient ecosystem that can also nourish our community. Native plants require no fertilizers or irrigation, as they have evolved to thrive in the local environment. This makes them highly sustainable food and wellness resources.

The non-native crops we grow, such as camellia sinensis, tulsi, and rosemary, are xerotolerant, meaning they can grow in hot and dry conditions.
