Why the “Cookie Club”?

The name is inspired by our resident hero piglet, Icky. During a long recovery from a life-threatening illness, Icky watched the farm dogs jealously and—entirely on his own—taught himself to "sit" to earn a treat. It was an adorable, undeniable demonstration of the "big brains" these animals possess.

Today, the "cookies" are code for loving, life-long care. What started as a birthday celebration for Icky has evolved into a permanent mission to support the entire herd.

The Vision: Partnership over Production

After 30 years of working with pigs, Icky’s story solidified a major shift: Slow Farm has officially closed its breeding program. We no longer bring new lives into an uncertain world. Instead, we provide a permanent, dignified home for our resident herd.

These pigs are our partners in soil restoration. Their "job" is to forage, trample, and build topsoil across our 47 acres. Your contribution fuels this loop by providing:

• Lifelong Security: A guarantee that no pig at Slow Farm will ever face an auction or a shelter.

• Cognitive Enrichment: Nutritious rewards and training tools that keep these intelligent animals engaged in their work.

• Infrastructure: The fencing and labor required to keep our "soil-building crew" safely integrated into our rotational grazing system.

How It Works

🍪 The Baker’s Dozen ($65): 🍪 Send the pigs a Baker’s Dozen (13 cookies) and receive a Personalized Video Shout-out. I’ll film Icky getting a special cookie (aka a la whipped cream!) & tell him who sent the treat!

🍪🍪The Whole Cookie Jar ($250): 🍪🍪Folks who splash out and go for the whole jar will get a reel video of Icky (or another pig if you want) eating an especially decadent treat. Have a request? Put it in your notes during check out!
