A note from Rachel:

“Pretty is as pretty does.” This was something my grandmother used to tell the girls in the family as a reminder that we are only as beautiful as we are on the inside. Things like fashion, hairdos, and make up can’t hide the ugliness of poor character.

Today grandma’s saying (which I learned later was more or less from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales) drives how I farm, as I work to make my actions line up with my morals.

Every once in a while I will design a new ‘Pretty is’ item in order to raise funds for causes that need support. To that end, I’m excited to offer this new bumper sticker! They’re great for calming down the roadrager tailgating you— and $1 of every sticker sold will be donated to the Pasadena Community Foundation to help human and animal victims recover from the area’s devastating wildfires.
